About the Speaker: Dawn was introduced to Yoga as a teenager due to sports related injuries. Since then she has since made it an important part of her life and wants to share the benefits with those around her. She started her training with YogaFit in 2001 and completed her 200-hour training with Sivananda Yoga Vedanta in 2005.
Dawn is a Yoga Alliance certified Pre and Post Natal Yoga teacher with Yoga Space from Australia and also a certified Yin Yoga teacher. She also trained with Ron Fletcher Pilates and obtained her instructor certifications with Polestar Pilates.
Dawn firmly believes that eating well can help prevent many health problems that people face now, which is why she sought to better her knowledge in it and is certified in nutrition and wellness by the American Fitness Professionals and Associates (AFPA) as well as the Institute for Integrative Nutrition from the United States. A business graduate from Curtin University, she quit her Marketing job in 2002 to become a full time yoga and Pilates teacher and has since become a mom to 4 kids who inspire her to be a role model to them.
Traveling and living overseas in France and the United States for over 8 years (2001-2003 and 2006 to 2012), Dawn has constantly kept to her practice, and teaching wherever she lives. She has taught at * Fitness First (2004-2006, 2015) * Singapore General Hospital (2004-2006) * Yoga Movement (2013-2014) * True Yoga (2003 to 2015) * Updog Yoga Studio (2014 to 2016)
